Music, especially country music, is what Mississauga native Alessia Cohle is all about! Fresh off her successful, packed-house EP release show and radio tour, her title track “Let’s Get Gone” has been released to country radio across Canada. “Sunday Shoes”, Alessia’s debut single, obtained significant airplay, was a Top 5 finalist on Music Road Radio’s ‘Top 30 New Artists Countdown’ for 12 weeks, and was featured on KX96’s ‘The Ellis & Archer Hot 30 Countdown’.

Alessia is currently teamed up with award-winning producers on the creation of her first full-length, FACTOR funded album, with an anticipated release date in Fall 2016.

With the momentum of her debut EP, Alessia spent the last year performing on many stages including Indie Week Canada and many festivals throughout Ontario, co-writing in Nashville with Big Tent and other great talents, and making many radio and television appearances including CTV, CHCH, ‘In The Country’, and Music Road Radio.

In May 2015, Alessia was selected as spokesperson for Steve’s Music Toronto’s first ever “Steve’s Supports Country” Campaign with their co-country sponsor, Boots and Bourbon Saloon. This initiative was created to show support for upcoming Canadian country artists and showcase country music in the city.

Classically trained in voice and piano, Alessia’s desire to become an accomplished musician led her to the University of Western Ontario where she graduated with a Bachelor of Music, Honors Specialization in Music Education (Voice). She was then accepted to the inaugural class at the prestigious Berklee College of Music - Valencia Campus in Spain, where she earned a Master of Music in Contemporary Performance. While at Berklee, Alessia had the opportunity to perform alongside five-time Grammy award winner Victor Wooten, as well as Abraham Laboriel Sr.

Alessia’s support of various charities have motivated her to lend her voice to causes such as Tikko Travels, a charity promoting autism and brain health awareness where she co-wrote the anthem ‘Make A Change’, performing at Verona’s Voyage for Sick Kids Hospital, and writing ‘Weight of You’, a poignant tribute to anti-bullying.

Between her unmistakable sound and growing body of work, Alessia is poised to contribute to the future of country music, wherever the sound takes her.
